South African-born Sahajo Southey has had a lifetime interest in horses that has taken her from stud management in the thoroughbred industry to, more Sahajorecently, the sport horse and polo fields. Extensive travels in the Middle East and Europe deepened her interest and understanding of complementary therapies and further informed and inspired her chosen career path.

Having identified EMRT™ as the most effective holistic equine therapy, Sahajo began her formal training in September of 2001. Joining the team at the World Horse Welfare’s Scottish Belwade Farm in December of 2001, Sahajo worked alongside their vet, farriers and chartered equine physiotherapist.   Gaining invaluable experience in equine rehabilitation convinced Sahajo of the effectiveness of EMRT™ in complementing not only, all facets of rehabilitation, but all facets of the equine competition and non-competition world.  Both acute and chronic cases respond well to EMRT™.

The EMRT™ training also introduced Sahajo to the Bowen Technique and she fully qualified as both an EMRT™ Practitioner and Bowen Therapist in October 2002 and May 2003 respectively. The Bowen Technique is an effective treatment for people and Sahajo has further expanded her practice in treating dogs and cats, having completed the CCmrt™ qualification in August of 2004.

After practicing as an EMRT™ Practitioner for 7 years, Sahajo felt drawn to teach the Technique.  She embarked on the International EMRT™ Instructor Training program in 2006 and qualified as an EMRT™ Instructor early 2009.  Since then she has been Instructing in Austria, Denmark, Canada and the UK.
